The Bible has many passages on the importance of prayer.
*Have you ever wondered what, "Pray without ceasing" in I Thessalonians 5:17, means?
* It is a direct command from God.
* It is not a conviction.
* It is not a option.
* It should be done everyday.
* It means you should pray whenever you think about it.
* You should pray whenever a request comes to mind.
* Pray wherever you are,regardless of what you are doing at the time.
*What is prayer?
-for those who wonder,it is talking to God, like you would your best friend
_you can talk to him quietly, or out loud
* Would should you pray about?
* the direction God would have you to take in life
* for those who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal LORD and Saviour-family members,friends, neighbors,acquaintances,government leaders,actors,actresses,co-workers,teachers,your boss,the newspaper delivery person,mail carriers,recycling and trash collectors,those in college,sports players,farmers,the young,the old, the poor,rich,middle class citizen,those in other countries,the person you pay your rent to, or mortgage to,bank workers,store clerks,waiters and waitresses,your enemies,and anyone else who is not saved yet
* for those who are sick, having surgery, or recovering from surgery
* for those who are giving birth to a baby,or babies
*for others safety,and your own safety
* for spiritual growth for those who are saved already
* for married couples( a man, and his wife,or a woman,and her husband) to resist the devil, Satan's temptation to be a bad example to others,and to remain faithful to one another
*for the backsliders to turn away from the worldly lifestyles they are in, and back to God
* for the country, nation they live in
* for those who are looking for a job, to find one
* for the unmarried not to listen to Satan's lies about immorality,impurity,and so on
* to thank God for the blessings he has given them in life-the Bible,food,their home,car,pets,friends,relatives,clothes(including shoes,and socks),bed,other furniture,their refrigerator,dryer,and other appliances,in door plumbing,electricity,a Godly church to attend,and so on
*to thank God for the talents, and spiritual gifts he has given you
* to thank God for the weather
* to thank God for saving you
* to thank God for the salvation of those who are already saved
* to ask God to help you be a good example to others
* to ask God to convict someone who is unfaithful to their spouse of their sin of adultery
* to ask God to help you not to show favoritism to certain people
* to ask God to help other Christians not to be racist
*to ask God to help you be more compassionate
* to ask for those who dress immodestly that profess to be a Christian,for God to help them to want to dress modestly instead
* to ask for whatever needs you may have
* to ask for God to help the missionaries to have the support they need
* to ask God to give you a pure mind,heart,and life
* to ask God to help you be careful of what you listen too, what you see,what you read,who you spend the most time with,and to what you wear
* to ask God to help people who protest military funerals to realize how selfish, rude,ungodly,shameful,and hateful this is
* for military personnel, for war veterans
* for pregnant women to either give their baby up for adoption, or to raise them as a loving parent should
* for those adopting children, to be patient with the adoption process,and to trust in you that you know the best timing for this
* for children in foster care, or that are adopted
*for your children,grandchildren,great grandchildren,great great grandchildren, and so on
* for you to know what is right by God, and what is wrong to him
* for courage to stand up for what is right in the eyes of God whether it is popular at the time, or not
* for those who are confused/uncertain as to what he, or she believes
* for pastors,pastor's wives,deacons,and others that are spiritual leaders in the churches around you
* for evangelists,missionaries
*for criminals (in jail,prison,juvenile dentition,or on house arrest,or those who are on parole,and those who have escaped from jail, prison, or juvenile dentition, or those yet to be arrested)
* for those who work on the power lines
* for any other person that is still alive today,at this moment,who is breathing air like we are,that needs prayer
